The flag of Williamsburg, Virginia, is a dark blue field with the city seal inside of it. The seal symbolizes being one of the first Virginian capitals in 1699.
The circular logo shows the top of the colonial General Assembly building in white against a star-studded blue sky, with wavy red and white stripes below the building. In the stars is the year "1699" in white numerals, representing the year that Williamsburg had been founded. Around the outside of the circular seal are the words "CITY OF WILLIAMSBURG" in white letters above and "VIRGINIA'S COLONIAL CAPITAL" in white letters below.
