The flag of Wyoming is a blue flag with a thick white border with a thick red border. A white buffalo shape facing the hoist of the flag is in the center of the blue field, with a stylized version of the Wyoming state seal.

Symbolism[]

Red, white, and blue are the colors of the United States flag. Red also represents the blood of the Indians; white for purity; and blue for the sky. [3] The Wyoming State Seal represents Wyoming. The white buffalo silhouette represents the many buffalo (American bison) which can be found all over the state of Wyoming, especially in and near Yellowstone National Park, in the northwest corner of the state.
